Terms of Service
Last updated October 24, 2026
Blockyard is operated by Platinum Programming LLC (“Blockyard”, “we”, “us”). These terms apply when you create an account, build or publish a site, or buy a plan or service from us. By using Blockyard you agree to them. If you use Blockyard for a business, you agree on behalf of that business.
1. Your account
You need to be at least 18 to create an account. Give us accurate information, keep your password private, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything done by people you share it with.
2. Plans and billing
Current plans and prices are on our pricing page. In short:
- Free lets you build and publish on a Blockyard web address at no cost.
- Self-serve is billed monthly and adds your own domain. You can cancel anytime; it ends at the close of the month you've paid for.
- Done for you is billed monthly and includes a $600 site build, paid as $50 of each monthly payment over your first 12 months. If you cancel or switch plans before the build is paid off, the remaining build balance becomes due. After that you can stay, switch to Self-serve or cancel anytime.
We currently bill by invoice. Payment is due on the date shown on the invoice. Fees are in US dollars and don't include taxes, which you're responsible for where they apply. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable. If a paid invoice is overdue, we may disconnect your custom domain or move your site back to a Blockyard web address until it's settled. We'll give at least 30 days' notice before changing the price of a plan you're on.
3. Services we perform for you
On Done for you, we build your site from a mockup you approve, with one revision round before launch, and make everyday edits you send us by email (up to an hour of work a month, usually within two working days; unused time doesn't carry over). Larger work, such as new pages or a redesign, is billed at the hourly rate on our pricing page or quoted in advance. You're responsible for giving us accurate content and approving it before it goes live.
4. Your content
You own the text, images, logos and other material you put on Blockyard (“your content”). You give us permission to store, copy, process and display your content only as needed to run, host and back up your site and to provide our services. You confirm that you have the rights to everything you upload.
Your site is your business. You're responsible for its content and for complying with the laws that apply to it, including telling your own visitors how you use information they send you through your site's forms.
5. AI-generated content
Blockyard can draft pages and text with AI. Drafts can be wrong, incomplete or similar to content elsewhere. Review everything before you publish it; once you publish it, it's your content.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use Blockyard to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights, including copyright and trademarks;
- publish content that is fraudulent, deceptive, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit;
- phish, distribute malware, or collect people's information without their consent;
- send spam, or impersonate another person or business;
- probe, overload or interfere with the platform, or access accounts or data that aren't yours.
We may remove content or suspend a site that breaks these rules. When we can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
7. Domains
You keep ownership of any domain you connect, and you're responsible for registering and renewing it with your domain provider. We don't sell or register domains.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep Blockyard and your site running, but we don't guarantee it will always be available or error-free, and we don't offer an uptime commitment. Keep your own copies of important content; you can export your data from your account settings at any time. We may change, add or remove features. If we remove something central to a paid plan you're on, we'll tell you in advance.
9. Cancelling and closing accounts
You can stop using Blockyard at any time and delete your account from your account settings, subject to any balance owed under section 2. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms or that has unpaid invoices. When an account closes, its sites go offline and we delete its data as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers
Blockyard is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise any particular results for your business from your site.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to Blockyard is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $100 if you haven't paid us anything.
12. Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against us because of your content, your site, or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Utah, and you and we both agree to those courts' jurisdiction.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll let you know by email or in the product before it takes effect. Continuing to use Blockyard after that means you accept the updated terms.
